Downeast vibe in Easton ...

Back in the fall, I met up with Annie & Patrick in Easton, Maryland to photograph their engagement session. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we took advantage of a family boat to enjoy the sunset on the water. I was reminded of the Brier family summer adventure in Maine last year - or, Downeast, as it's often referred to up north. It was fitting, then, for the bride and groom to exchange rings on the dock at The Oaks in St. Michaels, along the Chesapeake Bay. The marry-time...errr, maritime...theme was celebrated with compass place "cards", crab and anchor cookies and the lovilest nautical paper products, designed by the bride herself. And what celebration is complete without a few bottles of champagne? (Are bottles of champagne still smashed against the bow of a ship for good luck? Hmmm...)
